    Europe: 9:00 – 9:40 am CEST

Natural climate solutions (NCS), also referred to as nature-based climate solutions, are conservation, restoration and improved land management actions that increase carbon storage or avoid greenhouse gas emissions in landscapes and wetlands across the globe. Recent studies show that they can provide up to 37 percent of the emission reductions needed by 2030 to keep global temperature increases under 2°C. An increasing number of companies are funding NCS, such as reforestation or coastal wetland restoration projects, as cost-effective investment options to meet their climate commitments and targets.

Join this webinar to understand how your company can leverage NCS to support its climate commitments, progress toward net zero, and potentially produce a financial gain for the business.

Shyla Raghav, Vice President of Climate Change, Global Strategy Group at Conservation International will provide insights into:

  • Carbon markets and policy outlook for Asia and implications for business
  • NCS as a climate change mitigation option vis-à-vis engineered solutions such as renewable energy generation or carbon capture and storage
  • NCS options to advance corporate climate commitments from carbon credits to investing in NCS projects within a company’s value chain or developing NCS products (incl. case studies with illustrative costs, benefits, and returns)

This webinar is targeted at businesses from all industry sectors that have, or are planning to, set ambitious emission reduction targets (science-based targets and/or net zero targets) and seek to understand options for their emission reduction strategies.
