Chris Messer leads Kimberly-Clark’s global social sustainability programs, including efforts to improve human rights throughout the company’s supply chain. In addition to managing K-C’s social compliance audit program, Chris is responsible for developing global policies, building internal capability and engaging with suppliers and other stakeholders on responsible supply chain issues. Prior to taking on this global role, Chris served as K-C’s Asia-Pacific sustainability leader for over four years.

Having worked in Asia for most of his career, Chris has over 15 years’ experience in sustainability, CSR and communications at companies including Accor, Burson-Marsteller, the Organization for International Investment and a Thailand-based mosquito net manufacturer. Fluent in English, German and Thai, Chris holds degrees from the University of London’s School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS) and the George Washington University.
