David Segall

Associate Director, Sustainability Consulting, Supply Chain

David Segall is based in ELEVATE’s New York office and co-directs the North America Advisory and Consulting team.

David brings to ELEVATE expertise in human rights in supply chains and sustainable innovation. Prior to joining ELEVATE, David was with RTS (Recycle Track Systems, Inc.), where he oversaw the company’s public policy and delivered waste diversion reporting, benchmarking, and program management to clients.

Previously, David led the migrant worker portfolio for the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights. In this role, David focused on international standards on issues like migrant worker recruitment fees and worked with companies to improve supply chain practices. David also directed a research and advocacy support team for the United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran, and worked at Human Rights Watch in New York City.

David earned his Master of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies (International Relations Area Studies) at Harvard University and his BA from Duke University, During his career, he has conducted research and advocacy in South Asia, North America, South Africa, and throughout Europe and the United States.
