Meridith Beaujean

Director of Sustainability, Sands China

Originally from Belgium, Meridith spent 4 years working in Africa with the EU and UN on Health development programs before discovering Macao 14 years ago.

She joined Sands China Ltd and the pre-opening team of The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel in 2006 as a Technical Writer working behind the scenes to document policy and procedures for all the hotel operational departments.

After the opening of The Venetian, she gained valuable experience within the Finance team, before becoming the first Brand Standards Manager for the new franchise hotels Conrad and Holiday Inn Macao, Cotai Central building expertise on brand standards, quality assurance and guest satisfaction.

In 2015 she was promoted to lead the quality improvement initiatives and support the development and maintenance of a guest-focused service excellence culture across the organization as the Director of Operations Excellence.

Driven by a never settle mindset, Meridith accepted a new challenge to lead and manage the Sands China sustainability efforts in support of Las Vegas Sands Corporate’s global sustainability program – Eco360 at the end of 2018.

In her new role, Meridith is now responsible for developing and implementing sustainability programs and initiatives to effectively integrate sustainability into the resort’s practices, procedures, and culture.

She loves working in a multicultural environment in one of the fastest growing and most vibrant destinations in Asia.
