Arif Qayyum
Senior Director Social Impact, Visa Worldwide Pte Limited
Arif Qayyum is the Senior Director of Social Impact at Visa Southeast Asia. In this role, Arif leads Visa’s vision in the region to enable underserved micro and small businesses to thrive with the tools, capabilities, and formal financial services that they need to thrive. Prior to Visa, Arif specialised in mobile money, leading major telcos in Asia to help them develop and deploy mobile financial services for unbanked and underbanked consumers. Arif was also one of the pioneers in the mobile money space, having launched easypaisa – an award-winning mobile money service in Pakistan – with Telenor Bank (formerly known as Tameer Bank). Arif is a Sloan Fellow and holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, and has a personal interest in using technology and evolving business models to find impactful solutions that will help micro and small businesses and underserved segments.
